We understand how stressful it can be to leave your beloved furry family member for their surgical procedure. You can be sure that we will do everything in our power to make every procedure undertaken at Cronulla Vet Clinic as painless and stress-free as possible, for you and your pet.

All patients will get a pre-anaesthetic check-up to assess their ability to handle the anaesthetic. Cronulla Vet Clinic uses only the safest anaesthetic drugs and protocols for patient anaesthesia. We advise pre-anaesthetic blood testing before the procedure to complete our pre-anaesthetic assessment. This can be done on the day, in our clinic, and will help us assess how well the patient is able to metabolise the anaesthetic drugs and will help us pick up any changes that may influence our anaesthetic regime.

Before, during and after the surgery, all our patients are always monitored by a dedicated anaesthetic nurse and a range of up to date monitoring equipment, to ensure their safety.

Prompt recovery of all our patients is extremely important to us, and we provide post-operation nursing care along with continuous monitoring, to ensure your pet is stable and calm and can return home to you as quickly as possible. We also provide creature comforts to promote relaxation and minimise stress, including comfy blankets, pet-safe heat-pads and cuddles to ensure your pet is comfortable and warm.

Sterility, wound care and pain relief are very important to us.
